Launched at InfoComm 2015, Lab.gruppen’s new LUCIA 70V models, have made quite the impact on the AV community after scooping the industry Best of Show award from AV Technology. Lab.gruppen revealed the two new dedicated 70V output models: LUCIA 120/1-70 and LUCIA 240/1-70 on 15th June along with enabled DSP in the already existing LUCIA 2 channel models.
The second InfoComm Best of Show Awards, organized by a number of NewBay Media’s AV and Pro Audio Group publications, honour the most outstanding products exhibited at the show. AV Technology comment that their evaluation process is the most thorough and hands-on in the industry. Entrants of the awards submitted product descriptions and winners were selected by a panel of professional users and editors. AV Technology also have judges present at the show to see and test the products on the show floor, and talk with the product managers behind development of the products. The criteria for the awards included ease of installation, performance, relevance, network friendliness, value/ROI, versatility and reliability.
Although thousands of new products were introduced at InfoComm 2015, judges said: “Lab.gruppen continues to deliver the highest quality amplifiers combining small form factors with the pristine sound they are known for.”
The two new LUCIA 70V models, extend the current range of compact installation amplifiers. With power ratings of 120 W and 240 W respectively into a single output, the new amplifiers offer AV installers the option of driving 70V distributed loudspeaker systems while retaining the small form factor, input flexibility, build quality and GPIO facilities also featured in the LUCIA low impedance models.
The unique LUCIA (Localized Utility Compact Intelligent Amplification) concept is ideally suited to a wide range of installation applications, including restaurants and bars, hotels, retail outlets, corporate board rooms, museums and galleries, and smaller event or entertainment spaces.
